KARACHI – Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW) is preparing to set its business on a significant growth path akin to the one desired by one of Pakistan’s largest car makers. This business is in rapid growth and has a future outlook.

• It is planning to move into three new export markets: Afghanistan, Mexico, and the Philippines. The purpose of this strategic initiative is to develop new methods of generating revenue and ensuring long-term growth.

 The news was revealed during a recent analyst call hosted by Topline Securities.

Sazgar has been able to overcome many of those problems in a truly remarkable way after Pakistan’s recent floods, which led to many transportation and supply chain problems. 

• The business remained more or less the same and the only slight issue occurred when the Karachi-Lahore highway was diverted for a brief period, resulting in a brief pause on the supply.

Increased Production and Ambitious Future

Sazgar is already expanding daily production from 40 cars to a whopping 60 cars due to demand. The management team is now considering setting this capacity much higher:

• Current Capacity: 40 vehicles per day
• Current Output: 60 cars per day
• Projection of increase: up to 100-120 vehicles per day (double shifts to achieve demand)

Sazgar also has some interesting plans in the future. By March 2026, they will have two new models, the Tank and the Canon Alpha.

The company’s financial performance has been nothing short of impressive, with a strong momentum that shines through in the competitive automotive market. 

• Turnover increased by a whopping 89% to Rs109 billion and profit after tax increased by 106% to Rs16 billion.
•  According to the management, the primary cause for this phenomenal growth is that their Haval models are selling like hotcakes.

Sazgar is beginning to export cars to the Philippines, Mexico, and Afghanistan. This demonstrates that the company is strong and innovative even in times of hardship.
