Last Week vs Today’s Petrol Price

While consumers feared a much bigger jump of around Rs55 per litre, the government has so far increased petrol prices by Rs13.18 per litre in the latest fortnightly review. Nevertheless, with crude oil prices still under pressure because of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, experts believe further increases cannot be ruled out if global markets remain unstable.
