Toyota Has Raised Car Prices By As Much As Rs. 600,000

Following Pakistan’s new federal budget for 2025-26, Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced price increases for all its vehicles. This Toyota price increase comes directly because of the government’s new NEV (New Enhanced Valuation) Levy, a special tax on cars. Other car companies such as Pakistan Suzuki, Honda Atlas along with Changan Pakistan had already raised their prices in the past due to the same reason.

Toyota’s latest price list reveals price hikes that affect almost all popular models. The price hikes vary significantly in the range of PKR 49,000 to an astronomical PKR 600,000, based on the vehicle model. It’s important to remember this: Toyota Corolla Cross prices are currently in the process and have not been released yet in conjunction with the most recent Toyota price hike.

Toyota Indus Motor (IMC) New Car Price Rules After Budget 2025-26

Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has updated its car prices following the new government budget. Here are the key rules clearly explained:

New Orders: If you book any Toyota vehicle on or after July 1st, 2025, you will pay the new, higher price. This price is set at the factory in Karachi, before adding dealer costs.
Existing Orders (Not Fully Paid): Did you already order a Toyota before July 1st but haven’t paid the full amount yet? If your payment status is “Not Good to Go” (meaning short or partial payment) by July 1st, your order will also move to the new price set from Karachi.
Existing Orders: Good news if you paid in full and got final approval (called “NCS clearance”) by June 30th, 2025! Your price stays locked in based on the rules shared in the June 16th notice. You won’t pay the new increase.
Understanding the Prices: The prices Toyota IMC announced are their best estimates for the cost right from their Karachi factory. This price per car includes government sales tax, the Federal Excise Duty (FED – a special government tax), and the dealer’s commission.
Possible Future Changes: Be aware that car prices could still change later, even after this update. Things like new taxes, the value of the Pakistani Rupee dropping, or extra government charges might affect the final amount you pay. Toyota IMC will adjust prices if these outside factors change costs significantly.

This increase marks Toyota’s response to the economic changes that were implemented in the budget 2025-26. This NEV Levy, intended to boost revenue and reflect the latest valuations of vehicles and will affect the main assemblers, which will result in a significant increase in the price of vehicle owning in Pakistan.
