Lahore – August 22, 2025: In a radical move to address the dreaded Lahore Traffic & Parking situation, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has come up with a grand initiative, based on the Japanese policing techniques, but with innovative AI Technology.

Use of AI and Advanced Sensors for Traffic Monitoring

This new system will ride on infrared and sonic sensors to track vehicle traffic and identify areas of congestion spots in real time. It is our ambition, evident that we are trying to have a smoother flow of traffic in this metropolis, where every minute is considered wasted in traffic jams, as well as in fuel consumption by our commuters.

Incorporating Drones for Aerial Traffic Surveillance

To further enhance this strategy, Lahore Police will be using drones that will fly over the city, giving aerial intelligence to identify the choke points, and allowing traffic diversion in time. This air-based supervision aims to quicken the responses to peak hours, accidents or roadblocks, bringing in easier travel in the Capital of the province.
