Following recent price increases by Kia Lucky Motors, Hyundai Nishat Motors, Changan Pakistan, and Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), Honda Atlas Cars has now also raised its prices. If you’re thinking about buying a new Honda vehicle in Pakistan in the near future, this change could impact your plans and budget.

Honda has officially announced these new prices through a circular. The updated Honda price increase in Pakistan applies to their locally assembled models (called CKD models, meaning vehicles built here from imported parts). These new, provisional prices took effect starting July 1st, 2025.

Let’s look at exactly what’s happening with Honda’s pricing and explore the reasons behind this move.

Why the Price Hike?

Car prices in Pakistan have gone up mainly because of a new tax. This tax, called the New Excise Value (NEV), was introduced by the government in the Finance Act 2025-26. Adding this tax to existing problems – like the falling Pakistani rupee and higher shipping costs – meant car companies had to raise prices.

While Honda Atlas had kept prices stable before by absorbing extra costs, they state this new NEV tax is outside their control. Unfortunately, this government levy is now directly causing higher prices for buyers.
