The federal government of Pakistan has come up with a new initiative to increase the security of the capital. The M-tags will be required for every vehicle operating in Islamabad. This step is the consequence of recent security concerns, which also include a tragic car blast in the city. Why Is the M-Tag Mandatory?

The M-tag is not just a sticker for your car now. It has become an important part of Islamabad’s security framework. A press conference was held in which the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, Irfan Nawan Memon, stated that this tagging is essential to keep the city safe and sound.

After this huge step, the question arises in everyone’s mind is where to get the M-tag? The facility of the M-tag will be open from 9 am to 9 pm. Everyone can obtain their vehicle starting from 18th November 2025. The authority has set 7 different locations to make sure the tagging process remains smooth and efficient. These locations are:

• Lake View Park
• F-9 Park
• Islamabad Club
• Tarlai
• 26 Number
• Excise Office
