Islamabad is launching a fresh attack on air pollution, this time zeroing in on dirty vehicle exhaust. Following the successful shutdown of polluting brick kilns, city officials are now targeting cars and trucks belching excessive black smoke right now.

This new campaign aims to boost air quality significantly and make drivers more aware of their vehicle’s environmental impact. Crucially, the city is simplifying the process to report offenders – just snap a photo or video and send it via WhatsApp. This easy step encourages widespread public participation in building a cleaner capital.

Beat Pollution & Avoid Fines: Free Vehicle Emission Tests in Islamabad!

Act now! Get your car or truck’s emission test completely free for a limited time. City officials have set up three special centers where you can check your vehicle’s pollution levels until August 31st. After this date, drivers of vehicles blowing heavy smoke from their tailpipes will face serious fines.

Where to Get Your Free Check:

  • Old Parade Ground
  • F-9 Park
  • The Excise Office

This important clean air program started July 15th. Both personal vehicles and commercial trucks/vans can get tested, except for models made in 2021 or newer models (they likely already meet the rules). Pass the emission test, and you’ll receive a special barcode sticker for your windshield. This sticker proves your vehicle meets the city’s clean air standards.

Many Islamabad residents strongly support this effort for cleaner air. However, some are asking for more testing spots to reduce waiting times. It’s a fantastic move towards a healthier city environment. Taking your vehicle for this free emission test is an easy way everyone can help make Islamabad’s air fresher and safer to breathe.

Skip the Lines: Pay KP Traffic Fines Online Now!

Great news for drivers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)! The provincial government is making things easier. You can now pay traffic fines online using their brand-new system. Forget wasting time in long queues, this digital solution handles it all from home.

No more trips to the back or visits to the traffic police office. This online platform is a major upgrade for KP’s push towards digital government services. It’s built to make things faster, keep clearer records (increasing transparency), and cut down chances for under-the-table dealings.

Officials state this new online traffic fine payment method saves the public precious time. It also helps the government collect revenue more effectively and boosts overall efficiency. It’s a key part of KP’s wider effort to modernize public services, offering simpler, more accessible options for all residents.

This move clearly shows KP, much like Islamabad, is adopting smart tech solutions to tackle persistent problems, whether it’s protecting our environment or making everyday government tasks smoother and more efficient.
