Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Dr. Athar Waheed is leading this unprecedented crackdown, focusing on the most violated 1,000 vehicles that have outstanding fines. To ensure that this isn’t an exercise in paper or just a verbal statement, twelve dedicated recovery teams were formed. They are using advanced Safe City surveillance data to identify and track down cars that are not in compliance with the law in the city and have some pending fines to pay, and collecting fines right on the exact spot.

One shocking revelation is that, one motorbike was found to have accrued the staggering sum of 313 traffic violations, which amounts to a staggering fine of PKR 335,300.
