This is very acute at the Sher Shah Pull, a strategic connection between Multan and Muzaffargarh and other southern cities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The latest this afternoon is that the flood waters are getting dangerously close to the toll plaza near Sher Shah Pull. PSCA warned that this bridge has become a lifeline for many, but the torrents are washing it away, and once washed away, it will sever the connection between Multan, Muzaffargarh and Dera Ghazi Khan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a post to their official Facebook page, PSCA explained the severity of the situation:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The Risk<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sher Shah Pull is about to be flooded, and will essentially isolate urban areas from each other.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transportation networks and supply chains across South Punjab are about to suffer a huge hit.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emergency services may be hindered, and local communities may be isolated from access to goods and services.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>A Must-Know Traveler Alert<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In light of this, we advise all travellers and area residents to do the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are out on the road and need to pass Sher Shah Pull, now is the time &#8212; get back home as soon as possible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the floodwaters have claimed the toll plaza, no traffic can get through.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taking your time can be a recipe for disaster, and indecision could leave you stranded in a dangerous situation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Share this message with friends, family, and colleagues and help to build a common culture of safety.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a fluid and evolving situation.
