The Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has collaborated with the Islamabad traffic police, the Ministry of Climate Change, and the Capital Development Authority (CDA). This collaboration has been done to impose the anti-smog drive from December 1, 2025<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. As govt. Stated that the transport sector is one of the major contributors to smog in urban areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Measures in the Smog Crackdown<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Pak-EPA has recently run a campaign on zero-tolerance policies to make the capital pollution-free. If we look closer at the first week’s performance, around 1000 vehicles have been inspected. The results are positive, as around 80% vehicles pass the test. However, more than 80 vehicles have been seized that failed to meet the emission requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n
