Let’s explore more now!

New fuel prices will be implemented in Pakistan as announced by the Government of Pakistan the day June 16, 2025. According to the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). The price of petrol and the diesel rates have also been raised.

High-Speed Diesel HSD will increase by Rs 7.95 per liter to reach the price of Rs 262.59 per liter, which is different as compared to the existing price of Rs 254.64 per liter. On similar lines, there is an increase in the price of the petrol by 4.80 rupees per liter resulting in the new price of 258.43 as opposed to the previous 253.63.

This is not the first price change to be made in this regular review done by the government that takes into consideration global oil trends as well as local situation in the market. It is likely that the rise in fuel price may contribute to transportation costs and later the rise in price of the normal goods and services.

Businesses and consumers are to note these revised rates since they might change their day-to-day expenses and costs of operation. Additional adjustments can be made in the next fortnightly review depending on the international oil prices and other factors relating to the economy.
